As a New York City public high school, BHSECQ is granted a per-student funding allocation from the Department of Education that covers basic operational costs  but not the cost of the exceptional resources that brought you and your student to BHSECQ – small class size, exceptional faculty, college textbooks and lab supplies, and the many student services that are the hallmarks of our early college program. For these BHSECQ must raise $3,000 per student, per year or approximately $1.9 million annually.

While money is a crucial way of helping out, there are other ways as well. What follows are some options.

Donate money to the Parent Teacher Association or Friends of BHSECQ

This will help fund faculty positions, CTO, student activities and clubs, library books, seminar books, team uniforms, the student planners, Jupiter grades, graduation expenses and much more.   Click HERE to make it happen.

Make a pledge for the Annual Fall Appeal

You will most likely get a call from another BHSECQ parent in early December as part of our annual fundraising drive. While the recommended amount is $300, whatever you can afford is helpful.  We target at least 50% participation by BHSECQ families.  Whether you can afford $30, $300 or $3000, your participation is what matters!
